Perform keyword research.
Create a list of keywords that will be the target keywords for the campaign. Use tools such as Moz’s Keyword Explorer, Google Search and Google Ads Keyword.
Start with 2 or 3 very relevent keywords, in this case, Waterfront Condos and Toronto. Run them through your tools and analysis, determining the most relevant words.
Negative Keywords
Usually, there are some very unrelevant keywords that make your list. You’ll want to add those to the negative keywords list, as well as any other keywords you specifically do not want to trigger your ads.
In this case, it was geographical terms that needed weeding out, so broad matches don’t become overbroad and ineffective.
